Pan Homenetmen Games 2009

The 8th Pan Homenetmen Games in Armenia are well and truly over!! I'm sure that every person that was there will tell you that it was an experience that will stay with them forever.

From the day we left Melbourne, everyone was pumped and you could feel the excitement building. We left on the 30th of July and arrived in Armenia on the 1st of August, extremely tired but still overwhelmed that we were finally in Armenia. 

The entire week we were there we played our games, watched the other teams, met some amazing people from all over the world and really got into the HMEM spirit with our brothers and sisters from around the globe. 

Unfortunately the girls team was unable to win a game (but came very close!) and the boys won one of their games against Egypt. Both teams had one game per day and on one of the days we played two games. On the court it was all about competition and we were in it to win, but once we stepped off the court we were like old friends with the other teams. 

On the final day we watched the soccer final and the senior mens basketball final, had the awards presentation and in the evening, the victory ball. It was a night we will never forget
